Willow Bark extract (Salix alba) s a featured ingredient in our Brightening Mask because it provides a brightening, skin lightening and general anti-aging benefit.

The main ingredient credited with benefits for the skin, and anti-aging is salicin, but other salicylates as well as polyphenols, and flavonoids are also thought to contribute to Willow Bark Extract’s proven antioxidant effects as well as reductions in the appearance of pigmentary irregularities and for maintaining your skin’s youthful appearance.

Willow Bark Extract has has a history going back thousands of years, being used orally and topically for its anti-inflammatory, antipyretic, and analgesic effects.
